From an old clockmakers workshop clearance...

This is a lovely GORGE CASED quality carriage clock.

Whilst honest and unrestored is is running and keeping time to a few minutes a day over a couple of days.

It doesnt run a full week as it does seem dry and in need of oil service.

Regulation and cleaning is needed - the platform escapement is a gorge (ironically) replacement.

Earlier model with original BELL striking - so often "modernised" go gong!

Dirty but working, nice to see a gorge case advertised as what it actually is!! Ive seen most on here mis-described as such!!

This is sold as a good runner with the view no doubt you may later get if restored to your own high standards.

Dial seems in good order, clock comes with a winding key.

The clock is sold UNRESTORED and in a SLEEPY PATINA state - just as you would hope to find.

Clock is therefore sold as a restoration project - WITHOUT GUARANTEE
